million jobs will be added to the American economy before
next year's elections.
If that prediction turns out to be correct, the economy
is sure to become lively indeed. And that in turn will

Freelance Essay Editors Needed
A unique opportunity for professional editors. The
clients' site is designed to facilitate between students
and editors, much like an online writing lab. Work
completely from home, editing student essays and college
applications solely through the Internet. Pay is
dependent on length of essay and type of editing
requested, but an average net for editors is $20 per
short (1-3 page) essay edit. Interested parties should
submit their resume with relevant work experience.
Familiarity with the Internet and MS Word are a must.
Editors must complete a one page sample edit to
familiarize themselves with the system and editing
standards.
Java Programmer Needed
An easy-going, honest, hard-working Java contractor
living in San Diego is needed to work on short term
project potentially leading to full time employment.
Ecommerce web site: Java, JSP, JBoss. Would prefer
someone who is open to working with other technologies
and can help with other .NET, ASP and Cold Fusion
projects as well. Must be able to work at home on your
own equipment with a high-speed internet connection. Must
work minimum 35 billable hours per week during normal
business hours, be on call, be available to support
clients and other developers as needed, and to meet with
project manager at specified location as needed. As a
1099 employee you will be paid when the work is done and
the client signs off on each task. Must be able to get
things done quickly and correctly without too much

Senior C#.Net Application Developer - Boston
A contractor is required to provide a flat-rate bid on a
segment of a financial services project. A request for
proposal will be provided. Estimated time required: 2
weeks with possible additional work. This opportunity
requires a self-starter who can also take direction. The
ideal candidate has experience programming both .NET web
services and .NET web applications. Experience with C# a

Submit Stories about Public Figures' First Cars
My First Car - stories and photos - Deadline Dec. 15th,
2003! Seeking freelance stories of approximately
500-2,000 words detailing the stories of public figures'
first cars. Stories should include a short bio on subject
plus information on make and type of car, age of subject
when car was acquired, description of car including
mechanical difficulties, color, interior, and so on.
Writers should include amusing or interesting anecdotes
such as the first time subject took car for a spin, how
the car was obtained, what eventually happened to it, and
fascinating stories about the manufacturer of the car,
eg. Hudson, Studebaker, et.al. or any directly related
matter. Current photo of subject, along with photo of
first car (if possible) needed as well. Subjects should
be well-known public figures (performers, athletes,
racecar drivers, politicians, authors, and others).
Stories will be published by national publisher in book
form and marketed to mainstream readership.
