1. Keep the Cash Flowing

When evaluating which clients to work with, freelancers
generally focus on the rates they can obtain to decide
who is a good match. While rates are naturally important,
cash flow can be critical.

There is little point in having a client who promises you
high rates, but keeps you waiting for months before you
get paid. A client who pays a little less but always pays
on time may be much more valuable.

Cash flow problems represent a huge issue for freelancers.
If you can't get enough cash in the bank, you mail fail, even
though your figures look good on paper.

Testimonials

"I took a chance one day when I was flush and sent a few bucks to gain access to the Go Freelance Professional Edition. Since then, I've edited a sales letter, a follow-up letter, an 11-page Web site, and a brochure. I'm 'on call' to do pinch-hit proofreading for a medical newsletter editor in Florida ..and I've landed a gig editing a new Canadian magazine coming out this fall. All this from taking a chance on Go Freelance."
