Work from home as an Administration Assistant

Job Summary:

Independent Contractor - approximately 15 hours/month.

Description of project:

We at Troy Research are currently looking for an ideal vendor to fill our Administrative Assistant (contractor) position. The position allows you to work from home but requires that you have your own PC or laptop and high-speed Internet access.

Primarily, this individual will be responsible for handling all administrative type duties for the Director of Research Operations including filing, expense reimbursement, office organization, compiling spreadsheets and reports, and other duties as assigned. This person will need to travel to the department director’s home office approximately twice a month to handle on-site duties and may be asked to handle light phone duties when the department director is traveling.

Skill requirements:

  • Some administrative support experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Working knowledge of web-based environment (i.e. web browsers and email)
  • Prefer experience in written customer service or similar communication environment
  • Must have laptop computer with reliable high speed Internet connections with browser of Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, high capacity (20 MB or higher) email and Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
  • Some HTML experience a plus
  • Proficiency in e-mail, Internet browser applications
