Flash Micro-Site with Chatbot Interactivity

Seeking a Flash Programmer/Designer to build an interactive micro-site to accompany a streaming audio play which our theatre company is producing this summer.

Description of project:

Elixir Productions Theatre Company (http://www.elixirproductions.org), is seeking a Flash Programmer/Designer to build an interactive micro-site to accompany a streaming audio play we are producing this summer. The play is centered on a fictional A.I. chatbot/agent named "Celia" who has been created by a human programmer ("Alice") to identify and gather emotional as well as factual information from users. The play describes (but never shows) Celia's computer interface. Her goal, as an agent, is always to learn more: Her constant refrain of "Teach me" recurs throughout the play. Our goal for the micro-site is to offer our users both 1) a media player, framed by the Celia interface, through which they can listen to and navigate through the scenes of the streaming audio play, and 2) a direct connection to "Celia" so that users can communicate with her themselves. We imagine the micro-site being built in Flash -- an example of such a site can be found at http://agentruby.sfmoma.org/indexflash.html. The futuristic/erotic "branding" of Leeson's site differs from what we are looking for; the Celia site should be visually intriguing but also "stripped down" to represent what an A.I. agent would look like from a programmer's point of view. The media player option might exist as a separate "tab" or float alongside the Celia/User communication windows. We are especially interested in programmers/designers who wish to work "for hire" but who will also approach this project as an opportunity to build their portfolio and engage in a collaborative work of internet "installation" art.
