Contract HTML Programmer Needed - Nth Bay Area
Job Summary:
Currently looking for a HTML Programmer. Candidates must have a background in web site management and development, including HTML newsletter creation and basic graphics editing and creation. The HTML Programmer will develop, plan, coordinate, execute and provide support in HumanConcepts’ web site maintenance and creation. Looking for a self-motivated person who is able to work quickly to implement changes and manage multiple requests from different departments within the organization. The responsibilities of the HTML Programmer include: • Serving as the in-house web master, making all HTML edits across all corporate web properties • Managing change requests delivering expedient and accurate updates to the web site • Ensuring the compliance with W3C standards across all corporate web pages
• Performing QA on HTML documents to ensure accessibility on a wide range of browsers, consistency between pages and acceptable page weight • Creating simple graphics for headings, buttons and bullets for inclusion in web pages • Communicating with other members of the Marketing Team to facilitate collaboration and review of all web site content • Managing and organizing the directory structure of both the HTTP and FTP sites • Producing and distributing HTML emails to customers and prospects. Knowledge and skills required: • Able to hand code HTML with an understanding of CSS • Basic knowledge of Java scripting is required • Must have experience using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe ImageReady and FTP software • Familiar with standard development practices (i.e. using version control, staged development, deployment to the live server) • Experienced in the use of StarTeam preferred but other version control knowledge is acceptable • HTML newsletter development and distribution experience required.
