The first Hispanic Newspaper in Houston,TX with 12 years in the media is currently looking for Bilingual Reporters.

Description of project:

Under the direction of an editor, gather and analyze facts about current events through observation, interviews, or investigations. Compile the information into stories describing background, events, meaning and effects. Reporter will be assigned specialty areas (state news, sports, health, investing, county government, music, art, architecture or fashion). Reporter might be assigned to a breaking news development such as disasters, crime and human interest. Reporter takes notes by using a tape recorder or paper while covering the story. Must be able to check reference materials such as books, news files, and public records including criminal and civil court files for additional relevant facts. Reporter may be on “general assignment”, special assignment or have a “beat.” Beat reporters are responsible for news originating from local sources such as municipal offices, hospitals, and police departments.
